I'd see it out of curiousity, but I doubt it'd be any good.
I think I'd spend most of the time being amused by the cheesy costumes. There are some things which just don't translate well into live action, elementalist outfits being one of them.

Then again imagine the battle scenes.
Massive fighting and all looks lost, until pets start dying and then the warriors all look at each other and shout [skill]"I Will Avenge You!"[/skill]. Followed by some of the most brutal carnage ever to grace a film. Spirit Rifts, Savannah Heats all over the place, yes my fellow movie goers this is EPIC battle you have waited for maybe set to some solemn piano music and narrated by Rip Taylor.

His name is Peter Jackson and he did 3 movies about a bunch of people walking...for 3 hours, or 3-4 hours is you have a special box set.
If Kevin Smith is a director, then sure I'll go and see it. Dick and fart jokes for everyone, Jay and Silent Bob could play Koss and Mhenlo. The whole movie could be set in LA merchant district.

Nope, GW's story is weak to begin with, it couldn't support a movie. If there was a movie about it it would probably be rubbish made by the worst director of all-time, Uwe Boll, and feature some of the worst acting performances of all-time. Although they could probably just hire most of the very same voice actors from the first 3 GW game to achieve that very same effect. Save Uwe a few minutes worth of casting work.

It'd be awesome if the movie was about the Searing. It'd cover things that weren't really in the game. And explain some things.
Watching Mhenlo and his bitches trying to survive the searing would be awesome.
With Vin Diesel as Mhenlo.

There's already a documentary movie on Guild Wars Tyria...oh wait! that was Afghanistan, I forgot, the plots the same.
Your homeland gets rocked by an event, your path changes, you fight the enemy, you find an ally, you then fight that ally and ally with your old enemy. You give supreme power to some weirdo, you realise OH SH** and take away that weirdos power. Then you go do the same thing on another continent.
lol ;p
ok serious now. Yes, I would watch it :-) Heck id even try and star in it! my mums name means silvershield in swedish (her maiden name) Silfverskiöld surely this gets me a spot in a movie about medieval type fantasy combat and high adventure!

Video games simply should stay AS video games,

I dunno, I thought that film trilogy they made a few years back in Australia or something, based on that Lord of the Rings Online game, did quite well, even if it did rip off Dungeons and Dragons quite a bit.
If they ever make a Guild Wars movie, I would only see it, if it remained true to the source. At least 2 hours of the film should be devoted entirely to repeatedly killing one particular group of skeletons that keep re-appearing everytime someone goes outside the town gates.
The remaining hour should be set entirely in an busy marketplace with hundreds of brave heroes all shouting together at the top of their lungs about how they want to sell miniature pet trolls, or that they are looking for "Runners"; and a sizable proportion of the populace repeatedly accusing anyone and everything of being either a "Noob", a "Scammer", a "Bot", or all three.
It could be called "Guild Wars: The Mystery of the Seven Unidentified Golds"

What??
Lord of the Rings was a trilogy of books (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lord_of_the_Rings)which was then made into a movie and then made into an Online MMO (which just recently..as in two months ago approx...was released).
Besides, LOTR came out way before D & D(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dungeons_and_Dragons.
But back on topic.
I would see it if they made one, but I would not hope for one to be made.

Maybe if they made it like how the Wachowski Bros made the Matrix Trilogy; having it be a different part of the story not covered in the game (The Matrix Trilogy movies were complemented by a video game and animated series of six shorts that told different aspect of the story referred to in the movies). I liked the idea of making it about the searing, before wammos, 55's, ss's, farmers, nerf whiners, ragequitters, elitists, scammers, bots etc.
Maybe have it told from the point of view of the player, who's only talked about, but never seen (like Maris  ).

and during the movie someone could be standing there screamind WTS this garbage for 10 times whats its worth. Then right at the best part you get kicked out of the theater by an usher screaming err 7, then u have to start watching from the begining again. Rank 5 and below have to sit on the floor cus they r nubs. Theres someguys running around the isles naked screaming 100k the the 1st person that touches me.
But seriously I dont think it would ever get played because they couldnt decide who would be the touch ranger, Peewee Herman or Michial Jackson
